Meizi is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), Narrative Therapist, Registered Social Worker, Yoga Teacher, and Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga Practitioner. She is also currently training in Systemic Family Constellation and Sound Therapy. With more than 17 years of experience as a Social Worker and Therapist in community settings, Meizi has supported individuals, couples, and families navigating the impacts of single-incident, developmental, relational, attachment, and complex trauma. Her work integrates a systemic perspective with body-oriented approaches to help clients move beyond survival patterns, reconnect with their innate resilience, and restore a sense of vitality and agency. Grounded in an embodied therapeutic approach, Meizi works with the wisdom of the body and nervous system, recognising that many experiences are held beyond conscious awareness. Through somatic resourcing and nervous system regulation, she supports clients in processing implicit memories, developing greater self-awareness, and cultivating healthier relationships with themselves and others. Meizi has extensive experience working with attachment wounds, grief and loss, intimate partner violence, individuals who have used violence, and survivors of sexual trauma. She is particularly interested in understanding intergenerational patterns and helping clients establish healthy boundaries, strengthen their sense of safety, and create new ways of relating. Drawing on her background in social work, Meizi also supports couples and families in strengthening parent-child and intimate relationships, while considering the broader social, cultural, and relational systems that influence wellbeing. Committed to lifelong learning, Meizi continually deepens her practice through ongoing professional development. She believes healing is possible when clients are supported with compassion, curiosity, and integrative, trauma-informed approaches that foster greater awareness of body sensations, nervous system states, and the capacity for regulation and connection. Areas of specialization: ● Attachment and relational difficulties ● Grief and loss ● Self-worth and esteem ● Mood and emotional issues ● Violence and abuse ● Trauma
