I'm a specialist cancer, rehabilitation & gastrointestinal dietitian with many years of experience in dietetics, nutritional treatment and preventative nutritional counselling. I have a special interest and strong background in providing support for people struggling with gastrointestinal side effects from cancer treatments, for example, side effects following pelvic radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or surgery. I have training and experience supporting those with neuroendocrine cancer/neoplasms (NENs). As well as over 20 years of experience with chronic gastroenterological conditions such as bowel surgery, diverticular disease, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gallstones (and post cholecystectomy) and food allergy/intolerance. I have completed training to assess and support those with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), pancreatic insufficiency and bile acid diarrhoea/malabsorption. I work in all areas of nutritional rehabilitation and prehabilitation to optimise recovery and fitness. Including supporting people recover from Covid or long Covid. I am also trained to use personalised nutrition (coupled with Nutrigenomics/nutrigenetics) to provide individual DNA based assessments. I am Monash University trained in the use of the Low FODMAP Diet.
